Strong Minds School Series

Empowering Multicultural Boys

Strong Minds is a 1-day wellbeing program delivered in secondary schools to support boys from multicultural, migrant, and refugee backgrounds. The program helps young men explore their identity, build self-worth, and develop respectful relationships through culturally responsive, engaging sessions.

It is specifically designed for boys in Years 7 to 12 who may be navigating the pressures of adolescence while also balancing cultural expectations, intergenerational differences, or settlement-related challenges.

Core Topics

  • Exploring cultural identity and self-expression

Led by facilitators who reflect the lived experience of multicultural youth

We support boys from migrant and refugee backgrounds to explore their cultural heritage, family values, and identity with pride.

Through guided storytelling and conversation, students feel seen and celebrated—not othered.

They leave with a stronger sense of belonging, which improves emotional wellbeing and school engagement.

  • Building confidence and emotional literacy

Mental health tools delivered through relatable diverse voices and faces.

Our facilitators help students build self-worth and emotional literacy through goal setting, mental health education, and strengths-based activities.

Boys learn practical ways to speak up, express emotion, and connect with peers—skills that strengthen confidence at home, in school, and in life.

  • Navigating respectful relationships and gender roles

Healthy masculinity and respect, grounded in cultural understanding

We explore respectful relationships, empathy, and gender roles through a multicultural lens. Boys reflect on how their culture shapes expectations, while learning how to challenge stigma and step into respectful, inclusive leadership.

This builds safer classrooms, stronger friendships, and a more connected school culture.
