International Men’s Day 2025
- UNMASKED Panel
Wednesday 19th November 2025 | 9:30am - 12:30pm | SYDNEY CBD (VENUE TBC)
Theme: UNMASKED
Unmasking the pressures, expectations, and exclusions faced by multicultural men in Australia — and reimagining systems that truly see, support and include them.
Why This Dialogue Matters
To mark International Men’s Day 2025, SHER FOUNDATION, Australia’s first multicultural men’s mental health charity, is hosting a panel that brings together leaders across health, government, academia and community to examine:
The urgent and under-recognised challenge of multicultural men’s mental health.
Masculinity, vulnerability, and the cultural cost of silence
Community-led and trauma-aware models that centre cultural safety
This year’s IMD theme invites reflection, honesty, and imagination — from personal identity to systemic reform. In the spirit of International Men’s Day, we ask:
What are the masks men wear to survive — and who gets left behind when those masks are never questioned?
What to Expect
Powerful real-world perspectives on men’s resilience, identity and wellbeing
A chance to connect across sectors on shared challenges and opportunities
Stories of strength from lived experience advocates
A space that recognises and uplifts the strength and complexity of multicultural masculinities
Executive-level insights from sector leaders
Alignment with a national and global movement toward inclusive wellbeing
Why You Should Attend
If you work in leadership, social impact, health or policy – this panel offers:
Fresh thinking on how to respond to one of the most under-served groups in Australian mental health
Connection with peers who are serious about inclusion, prevention and men’s wellbeing
A chance to listen, learn, and lead in shaping culturally safe systems
Visibility and alignment with a progressive, sector-wide agenda for men’s mental health
A place to pause the noise and focus on what really matters
